 | MOVIE #1,389 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 02.21.24 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓉𝓎: A MARTIN SCORSESE DIRECTOR FOCUS 🇮🇹🇺🇸 This is a treasure, frankly. Marty just hanging out with his folks in their New York City apartment as they tell stories and lovingly bicker for 45 minutes while mom makes the Sunday sauce (recipe included in the end credits). Especially as an ‘italianamerican’ myself from north Jersey (2nd gen), I feel like I know these people, if only cosmically. People probably make too much of Scorsese’s heritage when assessing his work on the whole, but this is a loving tribute to it. |
