MOVIE #1,523 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 04.09.24 Very stupid but mostly fun: this movie looks almost as good as it is dumb, with wonderfully sets full of steam and smoke. It's so crazy that this sanitarium for women is populated almost entirely with hot fake-breasted babes. I love how the first plot (a bunch of thugs trying to get “papers” — the origin story for what they want is NEVER explained) totally transitions into another plot involving an evil doctor doing experiments on women in a basement dungeon called “hellhole” at the sanitarium. Especially because the crooks intentionally transferred the amnesiac/victim to this facility. This is part of the “woman in prison” sub-genre and it delivers on the front: with a plethora of mindless scenes featuring horny nude women being horny and nude together. I’m not immune to the appeal.

Hellhole is a 1985 women in prison film. It was distributed by Arkoff International Pictures. Shout Factory cancelled its original plans to release the film on DVD and Blu-Ray due to the film having missing footage, but it has since been released on Blu-Ray in late 2016 by Scream Factory, a subsidiary of Shout Factory. It was released on April 3, 1985.
