Pieces (2022)

MOVIE #1,650 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 05.21.24 I've been trying to do 'quality control' when it comes to these #24T offerings. But the thing about the TWO FOUR TUESDAY gimmick is that, well, it's a gimmick. I search my Letterboxd watchlist on shuffle, and try to find a film that has the same title of at least one other movie. Needless to say, results VARY. Last week, we struck gold with "Eureka" and today was also looking good. But the Pieces (2022) that I tried to find, wasn't available. So I went with Pieces (2022) instead. Look, making movies is hard. I give anybody credit who sets out and actually gets it done. But my brain FULLY switched off during the 68 minutes of this Pieces. I legit have no idea what it was about (actors doing… something). Omar Gooding does a Zoom meeting for about five minutes.The movie poster looks real enough. There were other Pieces out there but this was the Pieces I landed on. That happens sometimes.

Fun fact: The writer-director of this — Felicia Rivers — is as prolific as they come. Churning out close to 60 films since **checks notes** 2017 (!!!)...


That is too many movies! My god. (I am looking forward to Twerk: Reggae Nights, though.)
