I find these shorts fascinating but I’m still a bit at odds with their tone. I don’t think he’s trying to make fun of these people — the opposite is probably true — but they seem to register as exploitative nonetheless. It’s best to look at them through the lens of his worldview: that everything is art, every moment, every interaction, even every other person. |
