I had totally forgotten that I'd watched the debut of actor-turned-director Jesse Eisenberg (American Ultra, etc.), 2022's When You Finish Saving the World, before I tuned into A Real Pain, his Academy Award nominated follow-up, on Hulu (with ads!). So I checked IMDb and saw that he also made a short mockumentary for the extras of Wes Craven's Cursed DVD release called Becoming a Werewolf, so I watched that too. And here we are.
A Real Pain is clearly the better feature, though it's far from perfect. Still feel like Eisenberg is coming into his own as a filmmaker so I'll continue to watch what he does going forward (because I made this landing page duh).
