With the release of The Monkey, the first of two theatrical films by Osgood Perkins (son of PSYCHO himself, Anthony Perkins) in 2025, and after really enjoying last year's Longlegs as part of my Cage series, I thought it would be a good time to do an impromptu run-through of his manageable filmography to date (he started in his father's footsteps as an actor — see above his turn in the lead for 2003's legendary horrible flick Quigley where Gary Busey is transformed into a dog or something... I will not be examining these movies... yet!). Perkins (the filmmaker) has worked exclusively within the horror genre up to this point, though his five films are all fairly different, both in tone and style. Mileage varies, but ultimately these are all recommendations for me. Here is my definitive ranking as of FEB 2025:
