• VOLUME L •

In the last TRUE RANDOM, we were graced with a movie I probably would have eventually watched anyway, but today’s is truly in line with this series’ purpose and main objective: to deliver a film from left field which would have never otherwise made it my way.

When this started — the 50th installment of TRUE RANDOM! — I thought it was going to be similar to the highly slapstick, almost Zucker Bros.-esque Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession, which was pretty good but you have to be in the right mood for. It turned out to be much more grounded and actually kind of sweet. The ending was a tacked-on mess but this is mostly fine.
