🎙️ EPISODE 56: 10.27.16 This is the one that James Franco got proto-canceled for, or perhaps it's the one which looks creepy and weird and bad in light of more recent events? Listen, could go either way here. But the thing about movies is that it's fine to 'go there' (there=anywhere) so long as it's in service of the film. Yes, you hope the people making them aren't repellant perverts and/or despicable, literal criminals, or the children of the chosen ones, but also: who wants to spend time in those weeds? Those weeds=parsing the very specific realities of the what kind of people the people who make movies truly are. All that being said, this one is completely blah and impossibly average (at best).
