 | MOVIE #1,154 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 09.18.23 I don't want to go look up anything about this movie because there's something quite intriguing about its wayward nihilism. The main point of intrigue seems to revolve around the fact that the lead, our titular Tito, is played by a woman, who’s also the writer-director. There has to be SOMETHING there, right? [insert commentary on trans something or the other??] But the film is so weird and so insanely pointless that it's actually mesmerizing. It’s easy for any movie to be “weird” but to be so deeply and authentically so? Well, that there’s a whole ‘nother can of words and Tito has it spades. An excellent double feature pair with its TWO FOR TUESDAY partner Tenet lol. Honestly though, I’m not sure a couple of flicks could be any more different on every single level. |
