🎙️ EPISODE 366: 09.15.21 (Was inspired to watch this after checking out Cool Daddio.) Like Tape to Disc, this is another direct to YouTube effort, released a month later, spearheaded by a French outfit/band called Hifiklub. It sort of splits the difference between Tape and Daddio, in that it incorporates new, exclusive footage filmed on location in Nashville circa early 2010s with the Man Himself, as well as some inserts with a few notable names (Jad Fair, Calvin Johnson, Stevie's ex, Krystyna Olsiewicz – all absent in the "official doc"). There are a handful of really great 'slice of life' sequences (Stevie buying cheap wine, opining about not having shelfs to put his stuff) but it's also bogged down by some scenes that take that a little too far (nearly 10 minutes of unedited footage of Stevie struggling to get a piece of equipment to work). Neither YouTube movie is quite as good as Cool Daddio but they do have their moments and are a worth a watch (even if it's strictly "for fans only").
