🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 | 🎙️ EPISODE 453: 04.26.22 So the only reason I'm reviewing this (if you can even call this a review) is because I thought it was funny that James Marsden has played the lead opposite an animated character in two feature films now (the other being the first Sonic the Hedgehog which I recently watched with my daughter as she was battling the flu). And while I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the Hop Cinematic Universe (The HCU) to become a thing like the Sonic franchise apparently is, this weird (available on Netflix!) Easter kids movie from 2011 is — naturally — right up my alley. Sure, it's godawful in by any traditional metrics and more than deserving of its 24% RT Score, but it does what so many children's flicks rarely ever do: in the immortal words of Weird Al, it "dares to be stupid." So, yes, I realize it makes little sense to release this episode a full week after Easter 2022, but I implore you, fellow parents, give the story of the first Human Easter Bunny a chance next holiday season. This is at least the second best Easter movie (after Critters 2 of course). |
