🎙️ EPISODE 493: 06.21.22 This is a five-episode internet docu-series on the great Matt Farley, a musician and independent artist based in Massachusetts who has (as of this post) recorded and released over 23,000 songs, most of the novelty or "spam" variety. It's written and directed by a struggling young Australian artist named Anthony Frith who carves out the premise of the project from a series of lessons on how somebody can make a middle class living as an artist. Farley is a fascinating study and this is probably not the last documentary the world will or should see about him. But it's an excellent primer on the guy and his spirit (as well as Anthony's) really shine through. (Note: I go into more detail about how I connect with this on a personal level on the podcast.)
