An Education

🎙️ EPISODE 552: 09.12.22

I spent a good chunk of the podcast talking about age gaps. There are so many other "gaps" that are probably more interesting: thigh gaps, gap teeth, gap years, gaps like... in nature and shit (Grand Canyon??). I don't know. Trying to fight the urge to discuss the most uninteresting thing because some small part of the brain thinks it's like a controversy or something else (salacious bullshit, whatever). When it all boils down, this is a fairly textbook, mostly enjoyable period drama; it's screenplay and all of its serviceable-to-great performances scream that loudly. Everything about it feels likes a film you've already seen. It's a macaroni and cheese movie. It's good. I appreciated the brevity, or its attempt at it. But the conclusion felt rushed because of it. There ya go. Some analysis. Next.
