MOVIE #1,358 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 02.08.24 Again… I can't take the endless fight sequences in the ring. I just don't care about cool kicking and punching in this context. So there's a built-in ceiling for the appeal of these movies (for me). I have two more to watch God help me, although this one did have some killer titlecard graphics… |
Daniel Bernhardt (the poor man’s JCVD) has replaced JCVD and will remain in the lead role for the remainder of the pre-Lady Bloodfight film series. He’s not as good or as charming as JCVD but he’s fine for what this is. And what this is is a very meaty role for our main man Hong, the reason we are here. He gets a lot of screentime and actually gets to do some kung fu…
Like American Fusion, this is also a double dip with the great Pat Morita. His subplot is basically a non-starter but it's always fun seeing Pat show up. Donald Gibb is the lone actor back from the original. I am halfway done with this!
