MOVIE #1,449 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 03.18.24 There are several interviews that Mark conducted in this early run of videos, mostly — it seems — with film directors. [Ed. Note: I actually took this as inspiration to watch the three films that these people were promoting, starting with Venditti's incredible Billy the Kid.] Knowing what I know of Mark and where his work would go, this seems like an odd venture. Did he have aspirations to be a journalist, a film critic? These Q&As were likely conducted as part of screenings while Mark was an undergrad student. They feature a mix of asinine and legitimate questions. We see the first of what would become a stock question, as Mark asks Jennifer what she thinks about Josh Brolin ("he's having a big 2007"). And she gives him a detailed answer of meeting him, and references a Brolin interview on MySpace. All the while he's shooting an image of the Billy the Kid movie poster while they chat, ostensibly because this wasn't supposed to be an on-camera interview. |
