MOVIE #1,598 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 05.01.24 Part of the Jane Campion • Director Focus series This is billed as a true story / a true family” and in fact we get a helpful graphic outlining the familial relations of the principals (see the movie poster — this is also an on-screen intertile). A young boy is chastised for throwing an orange peel out the window of a moving car. Then his dad stops the car and makes him walk down the busy road to retrieve the peel. We see the adult female taking a piss in strikingly graphic detail. This movie both seems to not appreciate the value of good produce and also it doesn't understand the concept of biodegradability? Either way, it manages to capture something inherent in the family relationship structure in just a few minutes. |
