 | MOVIE #1,642 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 05.16.24 This is a fun, minimalist B&W animation wherein a cockroach-like bug climbs over a little house, falls off and gets stuck on its backside. We zoom in on the house as a door opens, revealing some mysterious activity with flashing lights and electric buzzing noises. All the while, a zeppelin slowly hovers in the sky. I appreciate how varied all these David Lynch shorts are. Sure, some of them may seem ‘slight’ if not fully inconsequential but I love that the old kook just kept on experimenting, clearly not overly concerned with how these little art pieces fit in or stacked up against his daunting canon at large. |
