MOVIE #1,648 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 05.20.24 They’re still not the branded duo yet but we’re getting SO close, as they play off each other in a number of scenes in this “life in the army” spoof — their FIFTH short together from the year 1927 alone. There are some pretty solid gags in this one. They lost me earlier on with the constantly repeating “Report to me tomorrow…” intertitle, but some very good physical humor and practical effects work. They were very into making things appear to bubble up and fill with air, for example… |
