MOVIE #1,718 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 06.11.24 This is, essentially, what feels like two separate movies sandwiched together and unfortunately neither piece is that compelling, either on their own or via the juxtaposition. It starts off as a familial drama (a teen American boy with a bitchin’ earring travels to Australia in search of his long-lost father after the death of his mom and falls in love with his stepsister) and then becomes a wilderness survival picture when he crashes his dad’s marijuana-trafficking, single-engine plane deep in the bush after the killer snake that the mob hid in with the money comes out and bites papa pilot’s ankle. The kid starts hallucinating in a cave after eats magic mushrooms some reason and I liked that stuff…
