MOVIE #1,810 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 07.12.24 EVERY OTHER FRIDAY I’M REVIEWING THE COMPLETE WORKS OF ALFRED HITCHCOCK IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. THIS IS TGI-HITCHOCK! This is obviously a great movie and easily ranks among Hitchcock's very best. Personally though, I had more fun with some of the less heralded ones. Bergman and Grant have great chemistry and there are some amazing scenes/shots, but closing in on 40 movies of his, I found the story a little stale. Entering a post-war cinema, his ultra patriotic plotting just felt a little tired on this viewing. The end of this is rewarding but also felt a little easy if not cheap.
