The Greibble

MOVIE #1,895 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 08.16.24

Dante’s second short film for Amazing Stories has to be one of the most famous episodes from the anthology series. Joe Dante + wonderful creature design/puppets = a match made in heaven. This one is top-notch (and Exhibit 1A for why I take on these all-encompassing, kitchen sink Director Focuses — you never know when you're gonna stumble upon a gem).

Hayley Mills is excellent playing the straight-man to this weird gigantic puppet monster, but it’s all about this hungry little freak designed by the great Rob Bottin…

The very important lesson here: moms, don't throw away your son's crap!

PS. If you were wondering whether or not each of these anthology segments featured characters watching TV at some point? Well, yes of course. This streak/trend continues.
