SERIES: MAYA DEREN DIRECTOR FOCUS
Dancers, in negative 16mm, are overlaid upon a space background so that they appear to be, umm, dancing in space. Maya loved dance, huh? It feels like roughly half of her output has been dance-centric. I liked the score by Teiji Ito, which is chaotic and a nice juxtaposition to the ethereal imagery.
