The two police officers assigned to this case could unmask the murderer with minimal effort - it's blindingly obvious - but instead they seem to devote most of their time to discussing pipe tobacco and smoking. Was this film promoted by some pipe smoking guild or manufacturer? First of all, that is a weird official description! You're not the critics, BFI– *Italian Voice* that's a' my job!

So yeah, I don't have much else to add. Apparently, this is classified as an "orphan work" so they don't have any other details about its origin, production-wise or etc. The tobacco company that may or may not have been responsible for the creation of this film is...

and they're still in business today, apparently. Good for them? Anyway, I found that angle to be the most enjoyable part of this, in addition to the thing I mentioned re Kids in the Hall. I only watched this because of the thing, the "Death by Design" thing? Did you not listen to the episode above?
