MOVIE #1,117 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 08.21.23 This is a found footage edit / experimental film from the guy best known for his first movie, A Movie. It repurposes news footage and audio reports of the JFK assassination. Conner’s work seems more groundbreaking than ever in today’s landscape. It might not be obvious but I see a straight through-line to the more overtly comedic edits of Vic Berger and others. They’re both commenting on the effect of media and news on the collective consciousness. I definitely want to do a deeper five on his film work one day. |
