🎙️ EPISODE 84: 03.14.17 It feels apropos to be writing this final "retroactive review" for Episode 84 (recorded back in 2017) here in mid-2021, the year of our Lord. This is the right place to stop, for now. Why? A) I truly love this film (8 seems low??) and hate the next one I reviewed chronologically (Ep. 85: Tusk 🤢), B) this leaves me with a nice even 100 "unreviewed" episodes of the program (85-184, I'm calling these "the unreviewed 100"), and C) the themes and simply the title really — **The Future** — echoes loudly in a way. What IS the future? Of this show? Of my life? What the fuck am I doing here LoL. // One thing I know for certain I can't keep wasting my time with these archival posts. This website and the new podcast feed and my brand new novelty URL (MovieJeff.com hell yeah) need to live in the present tense. It's a project I need to put to bed. Even if it doesn't look exactly like I wanted it to. It's time to move on. // I have big things planned for the future of this show, even if they only exist in my mind. At the very least I owe it to myself to open the gates to see if they make it out alive.
