Oh, you think all that scrolling and swiping is bad for us in sociological sense? Well, what if the simple production of things were giving everybody cancer and literally destroying the earth? The whole thing is bleak and disheartening and what's worse is you could make a host of even more extreme films on other subjects like factory farming, the heathcare system, BIG FUCKING OIL, and, ah yes, what's that? there's already dozens of those out there, too? The FEEL BAD/SHIT'S FUCKED documentary subgenre is a cottage industry and then some; whether there's data on how they insire any kind of meaningful change, well, I'm thinking the jury's still out on that front.
