Adapted from a Hubert Selby Jr. story (Aronofsky also turned adapted his novel, Requiem for a Dream for his second full-length), this is an overtly comical micro-satire, almost a spoof really.  It's fairly enjoyable, honestly, if you can get past the early 90s and try-hard student thesis vibes. |
