𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓉𝓎: A MARTIN SCORSESE DIRECTOR FOCUS 🇮🇹🇺🇸

At first, this felt more like a long commercial than I hoped it would be, before transitioning into a more standard documentary form. Anyway, I don’t have much to say about this. It’s fine — there’s a really bad VHS rip on YouTube for you, jackals. In other news, I thought this was the last true short film in the Martyverse, but I overlooked the 7-minute short he made called The Neighborhood (which was somehow shoehorned into the 9/11 Concert for New York City TV special that aired late 2001??). Anyway, will tackle this at a later date. But in terms of documentary work, this is really just the beginning as Marty was more prolific in this medium than most people probably realize.
He made seventeen (17!) of them to be more accurate (including the docuseries Pretend It’s a City that I’ve already reviewed). One of his first however, 1966's New York City... Melting Point seems to be completely unavailable/lost.

The real big update, however, is that we’re ready to embark on the feature film chronology, and we’ll do that starting on Monday the 11th with his debut, 1967’s Who’s That Knocking at My Door.
