 | MOVIE #1,683 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 05.31.24 Every once in a while, I'm using the last Friday of the month to do a dump of reviews for movies I watched randomly or at the theater, outside of my strict viewing schedule. Today is one of those days. Many of these films are kids' content that I watch with my daughter and/or son, like this Disney+ exclusive flick, Chang Can Dunk, which my daughter (9 years old) wanted to see on the recommendation of one of her good friends. First of all, the title is misleading. I would have gone with Chang Can Dunk: But, Can He? And I would explain that but it would ruin the whole plot of the movie, and the last thing I want to do is spoil Chang Can Dunk for all my loyal readers. The problem with doing these at the end of the month is that they aren’t fresh in my mind at all. This is highly stylized to the degree that it felt like it was trying too hard at times, but it’s ultimately endearing and harmless and I had a fine time with it. |

The film is an underdog coming-of-age story, involving high school basketball and the titular character's determination to overcome expectations. It was released on March 10, 2023.
