MOVIE #1,807 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 07.11.24 It’s probably fitting that the film I ‘had’ to watch at the lowest point of my crisis of confidence re continuing this review website was the first full-on porno movie I’ve ever seen start to finish. Yes, the James Hong A-Z filmography focus includes an actual porn flick. No, you don’t get to see him naked or fucking (or sucking, etc.). The 70s were the heyday of pornography and there are plenty of cinephiles that go to bat for them as part of the larger canon. I’m not there yet although this wasn’t horrible and Annette Haven is definitely, umm, talented. The film wastes no time getting to Hong as he's featured in the opening scene and actually has a prominent role… |
It's strange to watch a XXX movie that is not only striving to have a plot but is also so cinematic. These wonderful NSFW cartoon opening credits included…
I love this impassioned 9/10 review on IMDb…
That says it all, folks. In total, I’d say about ⅓ of the film consists of sex scenes, which — while tame by today’s standards — are still nevertheless “hardcore” (we got blow jobs, doggy, lesbian, and gang bangs, if you’re keeping score at home). So that leaves roughly an hour of plot and mostly subpar acting, but Hong is very good and it’s generally not unwatchable. I have no idea how to score this one lol.
