Boo!

MOVIE #1,894 • 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 • 08.16.24 Steven Spielberg's NBC anthology series Amazing Stories had a ton of notable directors take the reins over the course of its 45-episode run (I reviewed Martin Scorsese’s entry here) and Joe Dante directed two of them. This one from the first season features a pretty good set-up: elderly ghosts (Eddie Bracken and Evelyn Keyes), who are behind the times and aren't very scary, need to scare a porn star (Wendy Schaal) and her manager (Robert Picardo) out of their house because they're too annoying. This is extremely goofy but nonetheless enjoyable with some very good performances.
