🍿🍿🍿🍿 | 🎙️ EPISODE 416: 03.08.22 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟎-𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 RANKING GREENAWAY 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 OK, this was easily the worst of the bunch, and probably the worst thing by Greenaway I've watched in general. Simply put — and not to sound like a prude or nothing — there's just too much full frontal nudity in this, all of it the form of people acting like corpses, yes **vomits** even children. The repetition, a technique he's deployed so deftly over the years (most notably in the The Falls), presented as the documentation of historical drownings in the River Seine, near Paris, which are then catalogued, dissected and elaborated upon in many brief snippets, felt like a true burden here given the squeamish subject matter and how it is presented.
