I first became aware of Matt Farley several years ago for his work as a musician. He's a songwriter who, as of early 2024, has written and released over 25,000 via various pseudonyms. He has been called (unfairly?) a "music spammer." As a composer myself with over 10,000 tunes in the bank, I was naturally interested. It wasn't until recently that I discovered, however, that Farley is also 1/2 of a filmmaking team who has been making low or no budget "backyard" movies with his friend Charles Roxburgh since the early 2010s under the Motern Media umbrella. To date, they've released 15 features with plans to put out two movies a year through at least 2025.
